As a bonus, you will receive 1,000 bonus points upon your first purchase.

A $25 Borders gift card is just 2,500 points. You can also choose cash or from a variety of gift cards for hotels, restaurants, rental cars, home improvement centers and much more. You can even use your points for travel on most major airlines...the choice is yours! There is no limit on the number of points that you can earn and there is no annual fee.

You will earn 3 points for each $1 of net purchases made at Borders, Borders Express, Borders Outlet, Waldenbooks, and Brentano's store locations, Borders.com and Waldenbooks.com.²

You will earn 2 points for each $1 of net purchases made at retail establishments that classify their merchant location for Visa/MasterCard as Gas, Grocery, and Dining. ²  Gas categories include participating service stations with and without multi-services and automated fuel dispensers. Grocery categories include participating grocery stores, supermarkets, miscellaneous food, specialty food markets, and convenience stores. Dining categories include participating eating places, restaurants and drinking places.

You will earn 1 point for each $1 of all other net purchases. ²  

You do not earn points on balance transfers, cash advances, cash-like charges such as travelers checks, foreign currency, and money orders, any checks that are used to access your account, overdraft advances, interest, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, or fees of any kind, including fees for products that protect or insure the balances of your account. There is no maximum number of points that you can accumulate in the program.  (Certain restrictions, limitations, and exclusions apply. See Rewards Program Rules and Regulations, which will be mailed after your account is established.)

1. You will receive 1,000 bonus points with this offer. Please allow 6 to 8 weeks after your first purchase for bonus points to post to your account. First purchase includes purchases, balance transfers, or any checks that are used to access your account. To qualify for bonus points, account must be open and not in default at the time of fulfillment. The bonus offer is valid only for first-time cardmembers with new accounts. Only one bonus per account. Existing cardmembers/accounts are not eligible for the bonus offer.

Purchases not eligible to receive additional points include, but are not limited to, purchases made at superstores, warehouse clubs, and discount stores. Online and catalog purchases are not eligible to receive additional points unless the merchants have correctly identified and billed the transactions. We do not determine whether merchants correctly identify and bill transactions as being made at a gas station, grocery store store, or type of dining establishment. However, we do reserve the right to determine which purchases qualify for the 2 points. You will earn 1 point for each $1 of all other net purchases.
